Where do you live? Oh, just in a treehouse.
Well this design is now a couple of years old and many other concepts have been created but nonetheless it still conjures childhood fantasies of living in a treehouse! I was unlucky to go through childhood without a treehouse in my backyard, and I don’t know about you, but I was always envious of the lucky ones.
The guys at inhabitat held their ReBurbia competition to save the suburbs and the T-Tree, created by Adil Azhiyev and Ivan Kudryavtseve, was nominated as one of 20 finalists.
The concept behind this is all about sustainable and community living. Each individual cube is a place of residence and resembles a Tokyo capsule hotel. Each ‘module’ has built in facilities such as furniture, toilets, showers and kitchens. What’s more is that 25% of the structure’s energy requirement is generated by wind turbines located on top of the whole structure.
I think it’s a pretty neat concept but what do you think - could you see yourself living in one of these?
